SANDRONI REY GALLERY
Culver City, CA / 2004

In an existing concrete block warehouse in Los Angeles, Sandroni Rey Gallery was created through a series of strategic moves. The low central space was opened up by making two lightwells at either end of the gallery that span the full width of the space. These lightwells lend height to the two end walls of the gallery while bringing in natural daylight to the building interior. Bookended by reception and office areas, all spaces have access to natural light. The gallery in the middle functions as both a pure and clean geometric volume and an active circulation space.
